1. Who is responsible

Michelle Anguiano Moreno, located in Puebla, México, is responsible for the personal data collected on El Buzón de Santa and its Taller de Santa section. Contact: buzondesanta3@gmail.com.

2. What data we use

• In the Taller de Santa (on the device): the name the child types, their wishes, game progress and, if an adult enters it, an email address. All of this is stored only in the device's browser and is not sent to us.
• If an adult chooses to share the letter with a link: our server stores only the child's first name, the wishes they chose or typed (a short text per wish, letters and numbers only), how they say they behaved, the paper design, the number of stamps earned and the date. We do not store last names, age, photos, address, email, phone number or the free text of the letter.
• Statistics that identify no one: we count how many times each page is opened per day, how many different people visit per day how many times each gift idea is tapped and which typed wishes are repeated (without linking them to any child). To tell whether two visits come from the same person, and to prevent abuse, we create an anonymous fingerprint: the IP address mixed with a secret code so the IP cannot be recovered. Fingerprints are deleted within 2 days and are never linked to a letter. We use no tracking cookies, no third-party analytics and no personalized advertising.

3. Why we use it

Main purpose: to create the "Your child's letter" page so the family can view, print and share it.

Secondary purpose: to learn, in aggregate and anonymously, which toys are requested most. You may object by writing to us; this does not affect your use of the site.

4. Children

The Taller de Santa is designed for children aged 3 to 10. The letter is stored on our server only after an adult solves a lock (a multiplication) and checks a box stating they are the child's parent or guardian and accept this notice. Children never see shopping links or ads. Under the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we only collect a first name, which is not used to contact the child.

5. How long we keep it

Letters are automatically deleted after 45 days. You can ask us to delete a letter sooner by sending its link to our contact email.

6. Who we share it with

We do not sell or transfer the data. It is stored on our web hosting provider's servers on our behalf. When an adult taps a gift idea, they go to Mercado Libre, which has its own privacy notice; we do not send it the child's name or wishes.

7. Affiliate links

The gift ideas shown to adults are affiliate links: if you buy through them, we receive a small commission at no extra cost to you.

8. Your rights

You may access, correct, delete or object to the use of the data, and withdraw your consent, by writing to buzondesanta3@gmail.com with your name, the letter's link and your request. We will reply within 20 business days.

9. Cookies

We only use one temporary technical cookie on the adults' page to remember that the lock was solved. It is deleted when the browser is closed. The Taller de Santa uses the browser's local storage to keep game progress on the device. Fonts and site tools are served from our own server; the site does not connect to third-party services.

If we change this notice, we will publish the new version on this page with its update date.
